We're all grown'd up!

It's that time of year again. The time where you get older, eat cake and get presents. Yup, it's our BIRTHDAY! Now, when you're a twin birthdays are a bit different. I mean it is usually the one time a year when you have the whole day to yourself, but when you're a twin it's a whole day to ourselves. See, not so special. Not that i'm complaining. I wouldn't change being a twin for anything! I get sad when I think of all you singletons. Because having a twin is super awesome. Especially if your twin is Zoei. Here's 10 reasons why you should be jealous that Zoei is my twin and not yours.

1) She will laugh at all of your stupid jokes.
2) She will ALWAYS tell you the truth. ( She's oddly honest.)
3) She will help you with your fashion faux pas. (Even if you think boots and a skirt look just fine.)
4) She listens to good music.
5) She always has some kind of candy some where on her.
6) She always smells like coconut.
7) She will wake you up in the morning so you're not late.
8) She is tall and can always reach the top shelf.
9) She will do pretty much anything as long as you say please.
10) She makes up her own words. (Difficult to understand, but oh so entertaining.)

Now you know why being Zoei's twin is so incredibly fantastic. Best friend, sister, twin and partner in crime all rolled into one cotton candy filled little lady. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOEI! Let's eat some cake and dance our pants off. Happy big TWO ONE!

Music Monday: Dirty Heads

Music Monday is here! Every morning after dragging my bum out of bed I fumble with my iPod, one eye closed, the other open and attempt to read the artists names, until I come across someone who just seems to fit my mood. Last week I ended up with The Dirty Heads for most of the week, so I thought, hey I should make a great Dirty Heads playlist and share it with my Music Monday friends, so friends here is a playlist of my favorite Dirty Heads songs.
Okay okay, so before we get to the actual playlist I have a couple of things to say. First off, most of you know that I LOVE reggae music. But most people don't know this about me, but I happen to be a fan of Hip Hop as well. I mean I don't listen to it nearly as much as reggae, or a lot of other genres, but I do in fact love it. But for me to really get into it, it has to have a nice back beat to it. Thus comes Dirty Heads, they definitely have a California reggae vibe, but some songs they go a little more hip hop with that reggae back beat. And I absolutely love it!
I have chosen what I think is a good variety of Dirty Heads songs as well as including my favs. I hope you enjoy the playlist. Happy listening...

Such colorful fingers.

So, I love painting my nails. I'm not sure why either. Its time consuming, flakes off and smudges when wet so your hands are basically useless until they dry. But, still I spend the time and go through the hassle and actually really enjoy myself. I think it has something do with a little bit of femininity and showing off some creativeness. If you think about it, its kinda like wearing little paintings on your nails that you can show off with out whipping out your sketch pad or paint brushes. Freshly painted nails can do wonders for ones self esteem also, its like buying a new dress but half the money. At least that's how I like to think of it.

All of my favorite blogs have nail tutorials. That's one of the reasons I've been obsessed with it lately. The Dainty Squid always has cute new ideas. Also O'Neill Girls blog has manicure Monday! Which has some pretty neato ideas. I just got a bunch of new Zoya nail polishes. Which are a bit expensive, but absolutely lovely. So, go paint your nails! You'll feel good about your self and feel oh so creative.

Bonus! Zee Avi is so amazing. This video is a bit long, but will defintinaly convince you to buy the album Ghostbird. If you don't already have and love it. If you don't feel like listening to the whole thing at least listen to the first song. Such an amazing little ukulele song.

It's Easter!

Hello all! In case you haven't heard its EASTER! Which happens to be my favorite holiday oddly enough. I'm not really the religious kind, but who can resist all the pretty colors! Painting Easter eggs, eating massive amounts of candy and sweets, I mean whats not to love. I'm sure this holiday has a deeper meaning then dyed finger tips, but you know I love dyed fingers. I also love eating candy and cupcakes. So, long story short Happy Easter! It is what you make it and for me that means eating cookies for breakfast.

On a side note. I've been working on fixing up the blog a bit. I've been adding and taking away stuff, so in the mean time it might look a bit wonky.

Don't eat too much candy!

Music Monday: New Tunes

It be Music Monday! Wooohooo! On this lovely Monday instead of doing my norm music blog, I'm just going to take a minute to share the new music I discovered during the month of March. (Remi's idea by the way) Since I have found so many new bands/songs lately it seemed fitting. So below here I have compiled a lovely playlist of songs my ears met and fell in love with this past month. Yes, they are quite random, but random is kinda nice sometimes. I hope there are some bands that are new to you that you fall in love with. And I hope theres at least one new song you hadnt heard before reading my blog! Enjoy, and let me know what you think. I love feedback from you guys!

Also, there are a couple songs that I am madly in love with, but couldnt find them to add them to the play list, so go to this site --> here <-- and listen to these 3 tracks, they are pretty darn fantastic! Also check out THIS site. Its fantastic as well, I personally love the song "Franky". And Ill post a video below the playlist of a song that just melts my heart every time I hear it!

Over and out

Art House Co-op!

Hello there! So a while ago I did THIS post about an awesome project called the sketchbook project. Well the same creators are at it again! They have been offering a ton of different projects! A lot of them are free also, which is always a plus. I recently signed up for the NOTE SWAP project and I also did the 4X6 project. The thing I really love about these projects is that it totally challenges your creativeness. You don't need to be an artist to do any of these projects just be able to think creatively. Which we should all try to do everyday. Well at least I try to do everyday. Any ways, check it out and join some projects. Here's a picture from my 4X6 submission.
